Bath Building Society has been nominated for a second successive year in the Business Moneyfacts Awards, and has been hailed as one of the top five financial institutions when it comes to consistency.
The Business Moneyfacts Awards, run by leading financial industry magazine Moneyfacts, focus on the very best products and services in the business and commercial finance world. This year the Society has been nominated in the categories of ‘Most Innovative Product’ and ‘Best No Notice Business Account Provider’ for their Business Direct account.
In last year’s awards their Business Direct Account helped Bath Building Society to the title of Best No Notice Business Account Provider, despite facing strong competition from some of the industry's big names including Alliance and Leicester, Scottish Widows, Northern Rock, Bank of Scotland and the Anglo Irish Bank.
The Society has also been recognised by Moneyfacts.co.uk for the consistency of its products over the past 18 months. Four accounts from the Bath Building Society range feature in the industry website’s consistency tables, positioning it as one of the top five financial institutions in this respect.
Commenting on Bath Building Society products featuring in their consistent products tables, spokesperson for Moneyfacts, Michelle Slade, said, “”Many savers don't have the time or inclination to keep switching accounts to find the best deal. Bath Building Society consistently offers competitive rates to its members and savers can be confident that the rate wont be here one minute and gone the next.”
Late last year the Society received further recognition when it was named as ‘Innovator of the Year’ by the Mortgage Finance Gazette in their small to medium size lender category, largely due to the success of its Parent Assisted Mortgage Scheme (PAMs). Since its launch in 2008, the product has helped many first time buyers to find a way onto the housing ladder with support from their parents.

The Society has shown it is continuing to thrive amidst the challenges of the economic downturn, and is striving to carry on providing the very best service and products for its customers.
Chief Executive Dick Jenkins said, “Bath Building Society has a sensible yet forward thinking approach and we pride ourselves on creating innovative and consistent products. It is important to have a range of consistently competitive products, such as our Business Direct range.”
“We were also very pleased to have our Parent Assisted Mortgage recognised for innovation. This product, alongside our Buy for Uni Mortgage, is designed specifically to help first time buyers to reach that all important first step on the housing ladder.”
