Community
Bath Building Society is a huge supporter of the community in which we live and work. We invest approximately 4% of our profits back into the community, one of the highest levels of contribution relative to size of business in the West of England, and well above the target figure of1% viewed by Business in the Community as “best practice”.
A large number of local charities and community based organisation have benefited from our support over the years, including the Mid Somerset Festival, Julian House, the Rotary Club of Bath, the local Scouts and various local choirs through our support of the Bath Showcase.
We also sponsor the popular annual firework display at the Rec in Bath and the firework safety campaign associated with this event, in association with Bath Round Table.
Many smaller groups benefit from the donation of balloon rides which are often used to raise funds as raffle prizes.
Every year we also operate the Bath Building Society Charity Awards, which are designed to give small, but meaningful sums to small local charities.
