Staff from Bath Building Society have made a donation to the Salvation Army in Bath following their annual Christmas Card Charity Appeal held in December.
Each year, staff from the Society are given the opportunity to put a charity contribution into a savings account, rather than sending Christmas Cards to their colleagues.
The money from the savings account is then passed on to a worthy cause, and this year the Salvation Army has been chosen as the recipient.
A cheque for £175 was recently handed over to Major Andrew Diaper-Clausen from the Salvation Army at Bath Building Society's Head Office by Senior Underwriter Chris Powell.
Chris Powell said, "On behalf of the staff at Bath Building Society I'm delighted to be presenting this cheque to the Bath branch of the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army do excellent work across the country, and we hope that this contribution will help them to continue to help other people."
Major Andrew from the Bath Branch of the Salvation Army added, "I would like to thank the staff from Bath Building Society for their kindness. We always appreciate donations, and it's encouraging to know that people are still willing to give despite the economic conditions."
