Judith flying high with Bath Building Society
Having recently launched their brand new hot air balloon from Bath’s Royal Victoria Park, Bath Building Society have rewarded one of their members with two tickets for a flight.
Last month the Society held a free prize draw for all members who hold an existing ISA (Individual Savings Account). The draw incorporated members from across the region, many of whom access Bath Building Society services through their agencies in towns across the South West. The lucky winner picked at random was Mrs Judith Bracey from Midsomer Norton.
Mrs Bracey, who has never been in an hot air balloon before, said, “I was thrilled when I heard that I had won the tickets for a flight in the Bath Building Society hot air balloon. It’s something that has always appealed to me, and it’s certainly something I’m looking forward too. I will be taking my daughter along with me.”
Mrs Bracey, a customer at Bath Building Society’s Midsomer Norton agency based at Waterhouse Independent on the High Street, collected her tickets from Deputy Chief Executive Kevin Gray last week.
Kevin Gray said, “Our new hot air balloon, displaying our corporate colours and logo, launched last month and is already a familiar sight around the city. It gives me great pleasure to present these tickets to Mrs Bracey and I’m sure she will enjoy flying high over the city.”
“We received a tremendous response to our ISA prize draw, and although we cannot reward everyone with a balloon flight, we believe that our rates and the service we provide as a local Society will be a reward in itself.” |

“We have a range of ISAs available to suit different needs, and our staff will be more than happy to offer advice and assistance if required.”
As the sponsor of the balloon, Bath Building Society receives a number of passenger tickets to use at their discretion each year, which are used to benefit charities and non-profit groups in the region by donating them for auction and fundraising activities. Bath Building Society’s balloon rides have helped to raise thousands of pounds for various charities across the region. For instance last year the City of Bath Male Choir raised over £1,200 through the auction of their balloon tickets at a charity event. |
