Society Names Pancake Race Charity
Preparations for Bath's Flippin' Pancake Race are now well underway, and the event sponsor, Bath Building Society, is delighted to announce Julian House as their chosen charity for the event.
Julian House has been nominated by Bath Building Society to receive the proceeds from the race entry fees, and Julian House will also be holding a street collection on race day.
Bath's Flippin' Pancake Race being held at lunchtime on Tuesday 24th February, with the first race starting at 1pm. Teams of four will be competing in a relay race whilst flipping their pancakes as they go, with the ultimate aim of walking away with the coveted Frying Pan Trophy.
The traditional race is being organised by Eventy - Marketing & PR who brought the highly successful Egg & Spoon Race to Queen Square last May.
Dick Jenkins, Chief Executive of Bath Building Society, said, "We are pleased to announce Julian House as the official charity for Bath's Flippin' Pancake Race.
Julian House provides a vital service for homeless men and women in a around Bath, and we hope that the contributions from the entry fees and street collection will go some way to helping the charity reach its fundraising target."
