Ahead of their Annual General Meeting on 30th April, Bath Building Society have achieved their goal of another record members vote.
Every year, the Society encourages its members to vote on the composition of the board, and to receive the report and accounts. For every feedback form received, the Society donates 30p to Dorothy House Hospice Care.
Last month, the Society put an appeal out through the Bath Chronicle for members to complete and return their annual feedback form and the response to the appeal has been outstanding. To date 1,942 feedback forms have been received by the Society, some 30% up on the level achieved in 2008.
As well as the voting forms, this is the third successive year that Bath Building Society has distributed feedback forms to its members, and for a small, local building society the feedback is invaluable.
Chief Executive Dick Jenkins explains, "As many people know, the ethos of Bath Building Society is all about being closer to our customers, and this is just one of the ways we work to ensure this."
"The annual feedback we receive from members gives us an important insight into what our members need and want, what they like and dislike about the Society, and we try to use this feedback constructively to improve the services we provide."
"Last year we had an excellent response from our members showing very high levels of customer satisfaction, and we obviously want to keep on improving to offer our members a first class service."
"The record vote will also mean another record donation from Bath Building Society to Dorothy House Hospice Care, which provides such a valuable service to terminally ill people and their families across the region."
Every member who completes a voting form is also automatically entered into a prize draw to win a flight in the Bath Building Society hot air balloon. This year's winner was Fiona Meaking from Bath.
