Batheaston Primary School pupil Noah Hickman-Riding has been presented with a trophy for his winning design which beat thousands of others in last year’s Fireworks Safety Poster Competition.
Noah was presented with the cup by Dick Jenkins, Chief Executive of Bath Building Society, and Roger Williams from the Rotary Club of Bath during a school assembly on 26th February.
The Fireworks Safety Poster Competition has been an institution in Bath for many years and attracts thousands of entries from school children throughout the city. Noah was delighted to have his name immortalised on the cup as the 2009 winner.
He said, "I felt really excited when I found out the news. I'm really happy about the trophy; I never thought I'd win a competition like this."
Dick Jenkins from Bath Building Society, which sponsors both the fireworks display and poster competition added, “The standard of entries was very high, and Noah’s design certainly was worthy of winning. We’re delighted that this competition continues to draw so many entries year after year, and I would like to thank everyone who has entered the competition in the past.”
