A fully completed Deposit account application form is required for:
· Limited Company accounts
· Client accounts
· Trust accounts
· Charity accounts
· Qualifying Time Deposits
· Clubs and societies
· Partnerships and sole traders

How to complete the Deposit Account Form

Company Accounts:
· Account title = e.g XYZ ‘Ltd’, XYZ ‘Plc’
· Applicant = details of the Company
· Signatory 1-3 = full details of all the Signatories, including home address
· Enter Registered Number
· Interest will be paid gross of tax unless otherwise requested
· Each signatory to sign the application. Signatories will be identified through an on-line Equifax search. In the event that a search is incomplete we will need to see certified copies of identification, proving name and address.
· The opening deposit must be by cheque from a UK bank account in the name of the company, or by BACS payment once the account has been opened.
· We will also require:
a) a copy of your Certificate of Incorporation
b) a copy (on headed notepaper) of a Board resolution to open a deposit account with Bath Building Society, advising who the signatories will be and the number required to operate the account.

Trust Accounts:
· Account Title = XYZ ‘Trust’
· Applicant = the Trust detail
· Signatory 1-3 = full details of all The Trustees (home addresses) and known beneficiaries (continue on additional forms if necessary)
· Complete the details required for Trust accounts and tick the box re the declaration for Trust accounts
· Each signatory to sign the application. Signatories and beneficiaries will be identified through an on-line Equifax search. In the event that a search is incomplete we will need to see certified copies of identification, proving name and address.
· We will need a copy of the trust deed indicating that the trustees are authorised to operate the account as noted on the application form.
· The opening deposit must be by cheque from a UK bank account in the name of the trust or one of the trustees. This might be a Solicitor’s or Accountant’s Client account if they are one of the trustees.

Registered Charities:
· We will need evidence of the incorporation of the Charity. The opening deposit must be from a UK bank account in the name of the Charity. Signatories will be identified in the normal way.

· Title of account = XYZ ‘Charity’
· Applicant = the Charity
· Signatories 1 - 3 = the Signatories
· Enter the Charity Number
· Interest will be paid gross of tax unless otherwise requested

Fund raising account:
· An example of this type of account would be where a group of individuals were raising money to donate to a national charity.
· Title of the account would be XYZ ‘Fund Raising’
· The applicants would be the signatories on the account

Clubs, Societies & Unincorporated Associations:
· We will require evidence that the Club or Society exists and a letter or minutes of a meeting stating that an account should be opened with Bath Building Society and that the applicants listed are authorised to operate the account as noted on the application form. The signatories would be identified in the normal way.
· Title = XYZ ‘Partnership’
· Applicant = Partnership details
· Signatories 1 – 3 = the Signatories

Unlimited Partnerships:
· Where there are more partners than named signatories on the account, we will require a letter signed on behalf of the firm advising who the signatories will be and the number required to operate the account. The letter must be signed by a Partner who is not one ofthe named signatories. The signatories would be identified in the normal way.
· Title = XYZ ‘Partnership’
· Applicant = Partnership details
· Signatories 1 – 3 = the Signatories

Sole Trader:
· Title = Mr J Bloggs ‘trading as’ XYZ
· Applicant = Individual person
