Why it’s never been more important to support Bath Boules local charity fundraising

Bath Boules is an annual event in the city which attracts thousands of attendees and raises huge sums for local charities each year.

As a long term supporter and ‘Little Boules’ sponsor, we’ve enjoyed being part of this huge community event for several years – particularly as it takes place in our ‘front garden’ on Queen Square, we look forward to the buzz it creates for one special weekend every summer.

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s event – which was due to be its 30th anniversary – has had to be cancelled. As one of their main sources of income, charities have been affected hugely by event cancellations this year.

Not to be thwarted, the team beind the Bath Boules event has pulled out all the stops to find an alternative way for our amazing local community to support local charities who would sorely miss this fundraising opportunity.

After just a few short weeks in the making, the team have taken the Boules online. #BoulesAid will be a live broadcast direct to people’s homes on 30th July, featuring a variety of entertainment from local people and hosted by funnyman, Mark Olver. Think, Children in Need / Sports Relief just for Bath!

For a minimum donation of just £1 to the Bath Boules Trust, anyone can tune in to watch the show which will be jam-packed with music, comedy, and some familiar faces from the city.

BoulesAid takes place next Thursday, 30 July. You can purchase tickets here.

And, if you donate £10 or more, you’ll automatically be included in the BoulesAid raffle prize draw which includes the chance to win a Hot Air Balloon Flight for two in the Bath Building Society balloon!
