The Rotary Club of Bath Carol Service
Posted on 11th November 2021
This year the carol service has returned to its traditional home in the splendour of Bath Abbey. The 73rd Rotary Club of Bath Carol Service, in this, the Rotary’s centenary year will be held on Tuesday 14 December, starting at 6.30pm (doors open at 5.45pm).
Tickets are limited but available free of charge at the Bath Building Society Branches on Wood Street and Moorland Road. You can also collect tickets from the Bath Abbey Shop.
The success of the virtual event last year demonstrated how valued this service is to our community, so we are delighted its back, both live and at the beautifully restored Bath Abbey.
We welcome both the Bath Bach Choir and Bathwick St Mary’s Church School Choir who help make the service so special. We are also delighted to have at the service to read a Reading The High Sheriff of Somerset, Mr Thomas Sheppard and The Right Worshipful Mayor of Bath, Councillor June Player, together with Mr David Medlock and Megan Abernethy-Hope from BillyChip, our chosen charity for this year, and our own Chief Executive; Kevin Gray.
The Rotary Club of Bath works tirelessly to put on this event, and we are again indebted to them for their ongoing contribution. A collection will be held at the end of the service in aid of our Charity of the Year, BillyChip. The local charity does excellent work to encourage the gifting of special tokens to rough sleepers and homeless people that can in turn be exchanged for food and hot drinks in local coffee shops and takeaways.
We very much hope that you enjoy the service and wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
