Bath Building Society announces new partnership with Team Bath

The Society has launched a major new three year partnership with Team Bath, the University of Bath’s sports department. Bath Building Society has joined the Team Bath family as sponsors and will be providing additional backing for the Team Bath Netball Superleague team, Student Netball team, BUCS Super Rugby mens squad and Team Bath Tennis until 2025.

The partnership will provide a strong basis to increase visibility of our brand as the go-to place for the local community’s savings needs, creating a ‘financial fitness’ campaign to generate awareness of the Society’s purpose and in doing so highlight some of the preferential rates/accounts targeted at the captured audience of students, local families, schools, University workers and the sporting community.

The partnership is part of our plans to build stronger links with the community and grow membership of 16-35 year olds, encouraging and helping them to save effectively and to get onto the mortgage ladder.

Colin McDougall, Chief Commercial Officer, Bath Building, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to put our support behind our local athletes. Being able to help make a difference in the community is incredibly rewarding for our team and we love the connections it creates, inspiring the next generation of young athletes through the strong community programme benefiting from the enthusiasm, talent and training at the Team Bath Sports Training Village.”

Stephen Baddeley, Director of Sport at the University of Bath, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Bath Building Society into the Team Bath family. It is an exciting partnership between two high-profile Bath brands with proud and thriving links with the local community. Thank you to Bath Building Society for supporting sport at all levels, from toddlers playing tennis for the first time to our student clubs and high-performance teams.”
