The Bath Fireworks Display

The Rotary Club of Bath hosted their annual Fireworks Display at The Rec on Saturday 3 November 2018 which was sponsored by The Society.

The main charity for the 2018 event was Bath City Farm. The Farm is set on a hillside with fantastic panoramic views of the city, it is a wonderful 37 acre plot in the heart of Twerton and Whiteway in south west Bath. The Farm is not just a small holding free for everyone to use, it is also an important asset within the local community, offering adult education courses, volunteering placements and projects that are designed to help people combat issues of mental ill-health, drug dependency, social isolation and unemployment.

As the only city farm in Bath and North East Somerset, the farm attracts people from all walks of life and of all ages. It provides countless opportunities for social interaction, education, or simply for peace and quiet. The Farm can touch peoples’ lives in all kinds of ways which can be instrumental to their well-being; from a breath of fresh air or taking the kids to the playground, to learning to grow vegetables, cooking fresh food or looking after animals.

The farm delivers 15 different projects which help people of all ages to grow and thrive. Our projects are intended to encourage people to maximise their capabilities and develop resilience, confidence and a sense of purpose. We also run a wide range of community events, related to the arts, heritage and nature and manage the farm site as a free community resource.
