The Brilliant Bath Rotary have been at it again!
The annual Fireworks Display in Bath was a great event as always and very well organised (voluntarily) by the members of The Rotary Club of Bath. They aren’t very good about shouting about how great they are so we thought we’d do it for them!
The event ran a profit of £19,000 this year and the funds will be going to the following organisations:
- Focus Counselling
- The Trauma Recovery Centre
- Combe Down Holiday Trust
- Bath University RAG
- Bath Scouts
- The Sea Cadets, and
- St Michael’s Church.
Alan Keeling, the fantastic organiser of the event, said:
"This year's Fireworks event was the best ever attended and the help we received from Bath Building Society in promoting and selling the tickets made a big difference. Together we have helped Bathonians have a lot of fun around Bonfire Night, promoted firework safety in Bath schools, and raised many thousands of pounds for local charities, including the Bath Trauma Recovery Centre, which helps young people get over life-affecting events."
Tiffany Hardie-Albutt from Bath Building Society, said:
“We are very proud to be involved with the Rotary Club of Bath and all the great work that they do with so many Charites and organisations throughout Bath.”
In the next couple of weeks they will be raising money in the centre of Bath through a Christmas Street Collection which will include Father Christmas and all his little helpers! They are also arranging the carol Service at The Abbey on Tuesday 12 December.
