How to use Bath Online

Sign up to Bath Online to manage your personal savings account online. These short guides take you through the registration process as well as showing you how to login and use the key features of Bath Online. You can also view answers to some of the more popular questions our Members ask us – including what to do if you’ve forgotten your password – or contact the team for help at any time via live chat.



 

  • How do I register for Bath Online to manage my accounts online?

    You can register and manage your account via this website. Click on the Bath Online link to get started.

    You will need to read the terms and conditions before clicking the check box to confirm you agree.

    Complete and confirm your personal details including the account number for the account you would like to view online. You can register multiple accounts if you wish.

    Please also ensure you enter a current mobile phone number. We use a two-factor authentication process to verify it’s really you. You will need this so you can receive a code by text to activate your account. If you haven’t got a mobile number, please provide a landline and we will send the activation code by voice text.

    You will also be prompted to create a login, password and memorable information. Make sure your password is strong and the memorable information is unique to you. We recommend making a note of your information and keeping it in a safe place or online password vault.

    That’s it, you’re nearly done. You will be prompted to confirm if you are happy for the Society to communicate with you by post or email. There is always an opportunity to update these settings in the admin panel at any time.

    Once you’ve completed the information you will have an opportunity to review it before completing the process. If you have registered a mobile telephone number you will be sent an activation code within 24 hours. Use this code to login to Bath Online and manage your accounts. If you haven’t registered a mobile number we will write to you with the code. Please allow a few days for a letter to arrive.

  • How do I login and use Bath Online to manage my accounts?

    You’ve received your User ID so let’s login with the password and memorable information you created during the registration process.

    Don’t forget you will need your mobile phone handy as you will be prompted to set up the smart customer authentication process to verify your login with the code we sent you. (See ‘what to do if you have forgotten your password’ below if you can’t remember it!). 

    You’re in! From the Bath Online home page you can see your account details and current balance. You can also download a record of recent transactions if you wish.

  • I have more than one Bath Building Society account, how do I add another account? 

    If you have more than one Bath Building Society account you can click ‘+ Add Account’ from the Bath Online home page and follow the online instructions to do that. You will need your account details to hand.

    First you have to enable the online withdrawal facility and set up a nominated account via the ‘Your Bank Account’ tab on the left of the home page screen. You will need the Bank, Branch, Sort Code and Account Number details available.

    Returning to the home page you can click the ‘Transfer’ button to transfer money to your nominated account or request a cheque to be raised for an account holder.

    If you need to change your nominated account, you will be taken through the two step verification process again, with a code sent to your mobile phone (or voice text if you have registered a landline with us) to confirm it’s really you.

  • What to do if you’ve forgotten your password

    If you can’t remember your password, don’t worry.  Go to the Bath Online login page and follow theses steps:

    • Click on ‘forgot password?’
    • You will be asked to enter your User ID and account number
    • You will now be asked to create a new password and memorable information
    • Click the ‘reset password’ button and you will be sent a secondary authentication code by text or phone to the number you gave us
    • Enter this code and click the login button
    • You will see a reset message. This will tell you to check your emails for the activation key we have sent to you
    • Once you have the new activation key, go back to Bath Online and login with the new details you provided
    • Enter the activation key
    • Enter the secondary authentication code we sent you via text or telephone to complete the verification process
    • You should now be able to login and manage your money online
