Ash Kassam
Interim Chief Finance Officer
Ash started out his banking career as an accountant in the City and has worked for the likes of Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank & Credit Suisse. He then moved into Retail Banking with Lloyds Bank where he was Finance Director for Treasury, Starling Bank during the early days of set up and more recently with Harpenden Building Society as Finance Director.
A few people have commented on Ash’s strange accent, and it comes from being born in Kenya, formative schooling years in Canada and polishing off in the UK. Ash is a keen golfer and although his game isn’t quite up to scratch, his one claim to fame is a ‘Hole In One’ back in 2017. He is married with two teenagers on the cusp of sitting their A levels, and lives in London.
